Dating these days..
Honestly , dating these days isn't like what it use to be. You use to get interested in someone, and if they liked you back . Well you went and they took you out on date , they got to know the real you. If you still were interested you kept dating . If you weren't you either stayed as friends or went your separate ways. And something like that now is a fairy tale , there is "ghosting" or the "hookup" nothing real anymore. I am not telling you that there arent good actual guys who are gentleman, because there are. They do these sort of things , because they generally want to date someone. If you arent familiar with the terms "ghosting" or "hooking up". I can explain , "ghosting" is basically when a man or woman basically decides since the date did not go well. They disappear , no hint of anything wrong or goodbye. "Hooking up" , is basically what it sounds like .. or rather "netflix and chill" they invite you over . You come and then you end up in bed.. 5 mins into the movie or show you were watching together.
When it comes to this we are given certain rules that we need to follow .
Choose someone who chooses the Lord above all.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Choose someone who walks with the lord.
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?
Choose someone who is like minded ,
Romans 12:9-10 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
My life is so different now , that I am drawing closer to god. Dating is so different if you look through life through different eyes. I am not sure who I will end up with . Or if our relationship will last, But honestly in the long run I know somehow everything will be ok. When putting dating to mind , these rules will definitely help.
